“It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not.” — Unknown
This is such a great quote. So many people, including many of my clients, see only a tiny piece of who they really are.
I created this graphic to illustrate this idea. Imagine that you are standing in the middle of a pie chart that represents all of your potential. Now, imagine that you’re looking in one direction and have been looking in that same direction your whole life.
What if you moved just a little bit to the right.
New opportunities open up instantly.
Now, imagine if you turned 180 degrees? Wow. Your life would never be the same. You would have a whole new perspective on everything.
You’d have a lot more confidence and a lot less worry if you could see your full potential.
It’s up to you how much you want to turn. You can stay right where you are, turn just a little bit, or go full out and turn yourself all the way around.
So how do you turn, either a little or a lot? The first step is to become aware that you are not seeing yourself clearly. Just open yourself up to the idea that there is a lot more to you. A lot more.
Play with that idea.
Wear it for a while. See if just the possibility of it doesn’t open your world up just a little — the possibility of reaching your full potential.
And, of course, I’ll be talking a lot more about how you can see more of your potential in future blog posts. It’s very hard to run a business if you limit yourself.
Do you know someone who could use a little shift? Please share below.
