It’s so simple… right?

A new client walks through the door and within a short time I’ll know exactly how to solve her problems and help grow her biz.

I’ll give her the exact marketing method, business model, even the tone she should take when speaking to potential customers.


When it comes to my own business, not so much.

I find myself floundering. Which marketing strategies should I put in place? What’s the best structure to put in place for this part of my business?

I’m all over the board on so many things when really what I need to do is pick one I know works for other people and just do it.

The thing is, I’m not the only one that does this.

I’ve had so many conversations with people who have a similar problem.

We’re like the plumber with the leaky faucet.

I don’t know why this happens, but I think I have one possible solution.

Now, this is just a theory at this point, but I thought I’d share it anyway to see what you thought.

What if we looked at our businesses from the outside?

Similar to what I talked about with the future self a while back.

We could ask ourselves…

If I was an employee of my company thinking back over the last few months, what would I think? Would I understand the CEO’s strategy? Would I know where the ship is being steered?


If I was a business consultant brought in and I was asked what I would do if I was handed the “keys” to this business, what would I do? What would I do more of? What might I do differently?

For me, when I try this, my mind goes directly to a clear path of action.
