I’ve totally sucked at content marketing and what I’m doing about it

Not publishing consistent valuable content is just not good for business.

You need to know who I am and that I know what I’m talking about.

Otherwise, why would you ever buy from me?

As business owners, we often get caught in this catch-22.

When we’re busy with clients and customers, we tend not to focus on marketing our business.

That’s a bad idea.

When I realized that this was happening, I decided to take my own advice and put together an incredibly useful system to make it easier to provide value to you on a consistent basis.

I’m using Airtable, an easy-to-use online database app that I absolutely love, to create an online editorial calendar to keep track of past, present, and future email newsletters and blog articles.

The cool bit for you is that I’ll share my template with you, if you’re interested.

This template has tables for:

Posts: title, publish date, a spot for featured image in case you use that, status (where it’s at in your process — idea, draft, scheduled, published/sent)

Themes: A theme is a blog/email topic or grouping. For example in my business, I have purpose/passion, ideal client, business structure, etc. as themes. That way you can make sure you’re mixing up your content into relevant topics.

Holiday/Marketing Calendar: This includes topic ideas by calendar events. For example, I have a note for March that includes a first quarter check-in, so I can remember to check in with you to see how your first quarter went and to offer some advice to keep you going.

Blog Type: this one is a doozy. I’ve got a list of over 80 different blog types that you can use to give you ideas for your blog or newsletter. These include things like list posts, how-to posts, case-study posts, problem-solution posts, etc. Good stuff.

Ideas: This is where you can keep a running list of blog/email newsletter ideas you come up with throughout your week. A way to keep them all together and have them handy for when you’re ready to write up a draft.

I’m creating a fancy opt-in page and everything for it right now which will go live sometime next week, but if you want it now, contact me and I’ll send you the link 🙂

With love & joy,
